One Month Left!

We can’t wait to see y’all soon! Here’s some important information to help your family get ready.

What’s the Schedule?

Each day brings new memories and experiences to deepen your family’s relationships. Click below to get a picture of what your week will entail.

What Should We Pack?

For a full list of what you should & shouldn’t pack, click on the links below. This includes information for Theme Nights! Be sure to scroll all the way down for Family Camp’s specific packing list.

What Are We Studying?

Our theme this summer is Blueprints, and we’ll be digging into Ezra through Lamentations. Each day, we’ll see how these ancient books of wisdom are living, active, and more applicable than ever to guiding us through this life.

Needs Assessments Due This Week!

So we can serve you best, please complete (or review & update) the Needs Assessment form in your account within the next week. We cannot guarantee accommodation of requests made less than 2 weeks from your arrival.

Please note the special diets policy in the Needs Assessment form. Gluten Free Meal Plans must be purchased as an Extra in your online account at least 2 weeks prior to camp.

Menu & Food Info

While we’re thinking about food, check out our menu below! Note that menus are subject to change, but we’ll try to stick to this as much as possible.

If you need to supplement a meal due to special dietary needs, picky eaters, or any other reason, please feel free to bring your own meal supplies and make use of the small prep space in Aspen Cafe (reminder: we unfortunately don’t have the capacity to cater to any special dietary needs besides gluten free diets by means of the gluten free meal plan).

If you would like additional information regarding ingredients used in our menu – or anything food related for that matter – please send us an email.

Glorieta Waiver

To ensure a smooth check-in, please make sure you’ve signed waivers for all of your family members in your Glorieta account. Health forms are no longer required; if there are any special health-related notes you’d like to make our team aware of, please include those in your Needs Assessment.

Last Chance to Register for White Water Rafting!

This is one of the most exciting adventures Family Camp offers! Guided by the amazing team at New Mexico River Adventures, your family gets to tackle the Rio Grande as it rushes through the stunning terrain of northern New Mexico. (Read more course-specific info from NMRA here.)

This excursion is only available on 6 night sessions and requires a ~1.5 hour, one-way drive. Transportation is not provided by Glorieta. For more information and to register your family, go to the Extras portion of your registration portal.

Last Chance to Register for the High Five Zip Line!

Featuring five zip lines that stretch over a mile across Glorieta, the High Five makes for an incredible shared adventure. Registration is $60 per person (a 40% discount off the price charged to the public) and is available in your Glorieta Account as an Extra.

The High Five takes place mid-late afternoon and takes the place of an afternoon activity. For weight/height restrictions and other important information, go to glorietahigh5.com. Be sure to sign up for the High 5 through your Glorieta account, not the public website.

2 Weeks Out

Greetings from Family Camp!

Just two weeks until the adventure begins! With your intentional, distraction-free week so close, we want to tell you about the great amenities Family Camp offers.

KidTribe

Our stellar team will be ready to provide your little one (ages 0-5) with a safe, joyful place to make friends, build memories, and learn more about God’s love. If you have children that will be a part of KidTribe, please review the KidTribe specific packing list below!

Evening Hall Monitors

Every night after the evening experience is done, we’ll have activities running, retail open, and space available to fellowship with other families. If you want to take advantage of this time to hang out but have little ones who need to go to bed, you can put them down in your hotel room while members of our Family Camp team staff the hallways. If your child starts to fuss, you’ll be alerted right away.

Host Families

Our host families – who have a myriad of backgrounds rooted in ministry, offering wise counsel, and raising families – will be offering workshops along with multiple designated times throughout the week for prayer & counseling. We’re hopeful that these moments will take your Family Camp experience to a powerful depth.

We’re Cashless!

We won’t have cash in our retail locations in hopes that it makes for one less thing to keep track of. All locations will accept credit card or Camp Credit.
If you want to give your kids an allowance to use for the week, all they’ll have to do is give their name to our retail staff to pay for their purchase.
To add Camp Credit, log in to your Glorieta account and click on “Camp Credit” at the top of the page or wait and add during check-in.
Unused Camp Credit can be refunded or donated automatically based on your selection when purchasing.

A Special Welcome From Our KidTribe Lead

Hello! My name is Julie Garnaas and I oversee KidTribe (Childcare). I am a wife, mommy, teacher, and former children’s minister devoted to leading children to Christ by helping them feel loved and safe in a fun environment.

Our team can’t wait to care for your kiddos while you’re out adventuring at camp this summer! And don’t worry, they’ll have their own amazing adventures in KidTribe, as well! They will play, sing, dance, create, have age-appropriate Bible studies, and so much more!

We want this to be an easy process for both you and your child(ren), so I want to give you a heads up on some things. We have a check in and check out system called Rock RMS, an app specifically designed for KidTribe! It’s a great tool for making this process nice and easy by signing your kiddos in and out at the entrance using an iPad! Another thing I should mention is that it may be in your best interest to send your toddler/preschooler sunscreened and in clothes that can get dirty.

Finally, when dropping off your child, please make sure to provide the following (if applicable) in a labeled bag of some sort:

– Full change of clothes (all ages)
– Sunscreen (please apply before drop off)
– Snacks (if there are dietary needs)
– Bottles, sippy cups, and pacifiers
– Diapers, wipes, and creams
– Water bottle
– Special blankets or snugglies

*All of these (including your bag) should be very clearly labeled.

Please come visit our KidTribe area during your arrival/tour if you’d like… although I must warn you–it may be tough getting your kids to leave! 🙂 If you have any questions at all, please email me at julie.garnaas@glorieta.org.

Safe (and sane) travels to all of you!
Julie Garnaas
