Volunteer at Glorieta Camps
Volunteers are a vital part of our camps, serving both behind the scenes and out front, to help provide campers with exciting adventures and inspiring spiritual experiences. Glorieta is ideal for volunteer groups or individuals who are led to serve.
Our volunteers bring needed maturity, wisdom and graciousness to our program support team. And our multi-generational volunteer corps draws people from all walks of life with a wide range of talents, skills, and experiences.
2022 Sessions **We will begin reviewing Adult Volunteer Applications in January of 2022**
As a Summer Volunteer, we ask that you commit to attending the full duration of at least one full session to help with camp needs and training. Please take a mindful look at the available Volunteer Sessions and see which sessions you are able to fully commit to. For our first time volunteers, we usually only allow for one session of service. Although our returning volunteers are able to sign up to serve for multiple sessions, we typically recommend never serving more than two sessions in a rows (especially in regards to our more physically demanding positions).
Session 1: May 28th – June 10th (14 Days)
Session 2: June 10th – June 29th (20 Days)
Session 3: June 29th – July 18th (20 Days)
Session 4: July 18th – August 7th (21 Days)
Housing for Volunteers
Volunteers are provided with RV camping,or campus housing at no cost during their time of service. We make sure you have comfortable accommodations where you can get the rest you need in a space where you can relax and recharge your body and soul.
The length of your service is flexible. However, for our individual summer volunteers, in order to minimize turnover and training, we ask for a minimum period of one session. Shorter terms are considered on an individual basis.
Meals for Volunteers
Volunteers are provided all meals at no charge and are invited to dine alongside our campers and guests in the dining facilities or at special outdoor dining events. We encourage our volunteers to meet and get to know our campers and other staff members.
Prayer for Volunteers
Prayer is integral to our volunteer ministry program. We believe and practice Psalm 34:17, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears.” The spiritual and physical needs of our campers, leaders, staff and volunteers are consistently lifted before the Lord in our prayers.
Personal Time for Volunteers
Glorieta volunteers are a close family. While our primary purpose at Glorieta is service, we also share in game nights, movie parties, worship services and visits to local attractions. You can also enjoy our hiking trails, beautiful campus and mountain wilderness.
Glorieta is a great place for groups who want to serve as a team to assist with a particular project or service need. Volunteer groups generally help out for specified periods of time which vary based on the project or need. Group Leaders please contact us for information.
