FAQ’s

Glorieta Family Camp Staff wants to make sure you are comfortable with all the details as you pack your bags for a week of intentional family time. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to family@glorieta.org!

What's the Gameroom all about?

The Family Camp gameroom is one of everyone’s favorite spots to hang out. Stocked with tasty snacks and an espresso machine for original Glorieta drinks. It’s the perfect place to close out the night or spend a rainy afternoon! The foam pit, board games, and arcade games make sure that there’s something for everyone.

What does the Host Family do?

Our host families are here to lead workshops full of discussion and practical, take-home skills and tools for parents. They’re also available throughout the week for times of prayer and counsel.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes! we have free Wi-Fi available throughout the Family Camp campus.

Can I do laundry?
  • Yes! Our washateria is a short drive from the Family Camp campus and is open to guests 24/7.
Is there anything fun to do in the area before or after out time at Family Camp?

Absolutely! Santa Fe is full of amazing hiking and biking trails, countless amazing restaurants, and beautiful museums. Meow Wolf is another local favorite.

Does Family Camp provide on-site medical care?

All of our guides carry basic first aid supplies, and we have a First Aid station with supplies. We do not, however, have a medical professional available for guests on site. EMS can be at our property in a matter of minutes.

What's Camp Credit?

Camp credit is a way for you to give your kids an “allowance” for retail purchases while you’re at camp. You can add amounts for each person through your Glorieta account.

2 months – 1 month: 50% cancellation fee

1 month – 3 weeks: 60% cancellation fee

3 weeks – 1 week: 70% cancellation fee

What is the altitude like?

Glorieta sits at 7,500′, so drinking water before and during your time here is incredibly important. You can expect cold nights and mornings, warm to hot afternoons, and potential thunderstorms in the afternoon. We’re thankful to be in the mountains, but that does mean our weather can change on a dime!

I think I missed the pre-arrival email. Where can I find those?

Coming Soon!

How can we support the mission of Glorieta and/or help scholarship a family to Family Camp?

Through Glorieta’s Aspen Club! You can find more details here.

Where is the closest airport? Can you pick us up?

Santa Fe Municipal Airport is 30 minutes from Glorieta and offers flights through American & United Airlines. Albuquerque International Sunport offers many more flights & airlines and is just over an hour from Glorieta.

We do not provide a shuttle service, but the Santa Fe & Albuquerque airports both offer rental car services.

How many people come to Family Camp?

We average around 25 families (120 people) per session. Our max capacity is ~200 people.

What age is Family Camp for?

All ages! From infants to great-grandparents, we have something for every member of your family.

What if I'm a single parent?

Each session of Family Camp has a group of single parents, and we aim to serve all types of families and assign summer staff to specifically support single parent families as needed.

What if I don't want to participate in all the activities?

Great! Every activity is optional and there are plenty of great spaces to hang out, relax, and take a nap.

Do I have to come with a church?

Nope, Family Camp is designed for individual families. Several of our families do come with other families from their community to make the trip even more memorable amongst friends!

Can we bring our pets?

As much as we understand that pets are a huge part of our families, the only pets allowed at Family Camp are service animals with appropriate documentation.
