Zach currently serves as the Creative Pastor at Evergreen Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he has the privilege of helping lead the church in creative and meaningful expressions of worship. Tulsa is also his hometown, making it especially meaningful for him to serve the community that helped shape his faith.
Family camp has played a significant role in his family’s spiritual journey. Being in a mountainous environment, away from everyday distractions, creates space for intentional fun and meaningful moments with God together. Each year, their children come away saying they would choose family camp over any other vacation-something that continually reinforces how impactful the experience has been for their family.
He is especially excited about leading worship for families because of the unique opportunity it creates for parents and children to worship together. He loves moments when kids are in the room, believing that parents have the greatest influence on how their children learn to worship. Seeing moms and dads sing passionately to the Lord models a faith that is lived out, not just taught.
He and his wife, Shanna, have four children: Dax, Gus, Dottie, and Jude. Their family life is full and active-basketball games, school activities, American Heritage Girls, and plenty of time spent together. One of their favorite rhythms as a family is their weekly one-on-one time with each child, as well as being deeply connected to a life group that provides meaningful community and encouragement.
Above all, they are grateful to see each of their kids growing in their relationship with Jesus, and it continues to be a joy to watch them pursue the Lord in their own lives.
