Day Camp
What to Bring
Be sure to sign your Camp Waiver before arriving.
Please make sure all your child’s items have their names on them so we can help make sure they go home with your camper each day!
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Closed-toed shoes
- Bathing suit and towel on waterfront days
- Bible (if you don’t have one, we can provide one)
- Sunhat (if desired)
What NOT to Bring
Please make sure your child does not bring any of these items:
- Pets – not even little cute ones
- Tobacco, alcohol, or drugs
- Your own harness or helmet
- MP3 players, cell phones, electronic devices
- Toys from home
- Personal sports equipment – we will provide everything needed
- Walkie talkies
- Knives, weapons or anything sharp
Summer Conferences
Be sure to sign your Camp or Conference Waiver before coming to camp.
What to Bring
It depends on how long you/your camper is staying at camp, but our recommended packing list is below:
LODGING
If you are staying in a hotel style room or 162 Oak Lodge (Coffee Lodge) – Bedding and towels are included.
- Staying in dorm rooms of one of our other lodges – Please bring your bedding, towels, blankets and any other linens with you.
- Feel free to bring fans or space heaters.
- Toiletries – Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap … the usual.
- Tote or Toiletries Bag – Something handy to take your items to and from the shower.
- Towels – One for the shower and one for the lake.
CLOTHING
- T-Shirts – Bring several that you don’t mind getting dirty. Please leave shirts at home with statements, logos, graphics, or pictures of companies, bands, or other entities that represent ideals that are in conflict to Christian values.
- Light Jacket/Long Sleeves – Bring clothes you can layer.
- Jeans/Long Pants – Bring several pairs for adventure and to stay warm.
- Shoes – Closed-toed shoes are required for many activities. Comfortable walking shoes and shower shoes are encouraged.
- Socks & Underwear – Bring extra of both, it’s an adventure camp! We recommend warm wool socks with ample cushion for hiking.
- Rainwear – Summer afternoons can be rainy here. Be sure to bring a rain jacket or poncho with you.
- Hat/Bandana – We recommend bringing a visored hat to keep the sun out of your eyes and a warm hat for cool evenings.
- Gloves – It can get chilly in the spring and fall. You may want a pair of light, water-resistant gloves for when it does.
- Winter Coat – If you are attending in the cooler months, bring a well-insulated, weather-resistant coat.
OTHER ITEMS

- Water bottles – Two large (32 oz) water bottles (minimum). Due to the high elevation and degree of activity, hydration is an essential part of the Glorieta Adventure Camps experience. We have Nalgene water bottles for sale at our Glorieta Outfitters camp store and filtered water refill stations around camp.
- Hydration Backpack (optional) – These are nice along with, or instead of, water bottles.
- Flashlight or Headlamp with extra batteries.

- Backpack
- Spending Funds (optional) – We accept debit and credit cards, tap-to-pay and camp credit at our retail locations.
- Camera
- Medications – You will need to turn all medications in to your group leader.
- Earplugs – If you’re a light sleeper.
