What is Day Camp?

A fun-filled, action-packed adventure for kids ages 6–14.
  • 5 days at camp (M-F, 8 AM-5 PM) with nights spent at home!
  • Time exploring outdoors and making new friends.
  • Encountering God’s creation and the Bible.
  • Having a blast on adventure activities and outdoor games.
  • Growing in perseverance, community-mindedness, and critical thinking!

At Glorieta Day Camp, kids spend their days at camp and nights at home. It’s an easy and exciting way for kids to explore the outdoors this summer, grow in confidence, and make new friends! Kids who attend Day Camp come home with an increased sense of wonder and memories they’ll treasure for the rest of their lives.

Adventure Activities

Adventures designed for kids to improve teamwork, problem solve, and have FUN! Campers zip through the sky, climb into treetops, explore nature trails, splash in the lake, and so much more. Day Camp activities are hands-on, real-life adventures that make screen time look boring. Your camper will make memories to treasure for years to come!

Character

Kids learn and grow at Day Camp! Challenging activities increase perseverance. Group games and quality time give kids a chance to make friends and grow in community-mindedness. And intentional Bible studies help campers learn to think critically. Camp is always an adventure, and it’s an amazing way to help kids continue to grow in character throughout the summer!

Friendship

There are no friends like camp friends! At Day Camp, kids get a chance to explore, laugh, and adventure with their peers. Camp is an environment where making friends is often a little easier than it is at school. Adventure is the best kind of bonding, after all!

Confidence

When kids feel proud of themselves, their confidence grows. With so many new adventures to try at Day Camp, reasons for campers to feel proud of themselves are all around. Whether it’s trying an adventure activity, sharing their thoughts in Bible study, or talking to the kids in their group, campers build confidence with every new accomplishment.

God's Love

Campers have daily Bible studies where they hear about the Lord’s great love for them. A couple times a week, Day Camp includes a hands-on experience where the Bible comes to life! Prayer and worship songs are also part of the daily rhythm of Day Camp. Conversations about faith are always age-appropriate and intentional.

Character at Camp

Glorieta Adventure Camps has received a Character at Camp grant from the American Camp Association — a highly competitive national grant that supports high-quality character development in camps.

What this means for your camper

This grant allows us to be even more intentional about helping campers at Day Camp build important character strengths like teamwork, leadership, resilience, confidence, and independence — all while having a ton of fun. Campers will benefit from thoughtfully designed experiences that support their growth as people, not just participants.

We know families are looking for camps that help kids grow socially and emotionally. Through this grant, we receive research-informed training, tools, and guidance from the American Camp Association to continue providing the safe, high-quality camp environment you expect.

Angel Tree Camp Scholarships

Angel Tree helps make camp possible for children with an incarcerated parent by providing financial assistance for eligible campers. Through this program, kids can experience a week of friendship, encouragement, outdoor adventure, and Christ-centered support in a safe and caring camp environment.

Junior Squad Leader Program

Junior Squad (J Squad) is a camp program designed for students ages 15-17 to hone their leadership skills and focus on discipleship. Members join Day Camp squads to help campers have an amazing camp experience. Days are spent learning from counselors, playing with kids, and improving leadership skills. Ultimately, J Squad is a chance for teens to make a real impact in their community, serve campers, and grow in their walk with Jesus.
