Experiential and Social-Emotional Learning in the Mountains

Outdoor Education at Glorieta Camps

Our Outdoor Education (Outdoor Ed) program serves students in grades 4-12 and specializes in experiential and social-emotional learning. Lessons are intentionally designed to complement classroom learning through hands-on education in a mountain setting. Students learn not just classroom material but valuable communication and problem-solving skills as they learn and grow together.

Outdoor Ed turns the natural environment into a classroom without walls — inspiring curiosity, creativity, and growth. Bring learning to life in the mountains of Glorieta, just 20 minutes outside Santa Fe.

Real Impact from Real Students & Teachers

The most valuable aspect to the trip was being outside, students collaborating and supporting others, and seeing their interest and engagement using math.

I’d 10/10 recommend this to my friends because it combines fun with friends and using science in a real life scenario.

I really liked the entire thing and the staff there had good/funny personalities that made me laugh. Thank you for giving us this fun opportunity!!

On a scale of 1 to 10 of how likely I am to recommend this to a friend, I would say a 9! It was extremely fun and very educational (in the best way possible).

This activity was a lot of fun, and helped me learn more about the physics we are learning in class but with lots of fun and interactive parts to it.

The super swing is so fun and the math allows you to understand how you went the speed you went and it is cool to see how your equations answer matches your speedometer reading.
