Chris Castorena serves as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at First Baptist Church of Santa Fe and grew up in Lockney, Texas.

For Chris and his family, the “secret sauce” of Glorieta’s Family Camp is the rare and intentional space it creates for families to spend time together with Jesus and other families alike, all set against the outdoor adventure and stunning beauty of the mountains. Year after year, those shared moments have turned into cherished memories that continue to shape their summers and their faith.

Chris is especially excited to serve as a speaker next summer as families journey through the Gospels and encounter Jesus anew. Exploring the paradox of Christ’s upside-down kingdom is something he’s deeply passionate about and believes that when families truly treasure Jesus and seek His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, lives, and the world around them, are forever transformed.

He and his family live in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, where life together is full of joy and energy. They love playing games (with just a touch of friendly competition), taking walks and bike rides, cooking meals together, and occasionally breaking out into epic dance parties. With Jesus as their greatest treasure, they are eager and grateful to be part of Family Camp again this summer.
