Paradox- The Upside-Down Kingdom
This summer at Family Camp, we’re excited to introduce our theme Paradox: The Upside-Down Kingdom. Together, we’ll journey through the gospel story, exploring the powerful and often surprising ways God’s Kingdom turns the world’s expectations upside down. Each day will feature meaningful experiences and hands-on activities that point to different aspects of the gospel, bringing Scripture to life in creative and memorable ways.
With engaging programming designed for every age, Family Camp offers something for everyone, from kids to teens to parents. Our hope is that families will not only have fun and make lasting memories together, but also grow closer to one another and deepen their faith along the way. Paradox is more than a theme, it’s an invitation to experience the gospel in a fresh, joyful, and unforgettable way.
Experiences |
At Family Camp, we love to see our lessons come to life and create memories daily! Below is a list of the memory-making experiences for the week. Experience 1: World Cup (included in 3, 4, 5 & 6 night sessions)The Upside Down World Cup is a wild and chaotic four-way giant human foosball game where teamwork is key and anything can happen. With so much happening at once and a few upside-down surprises, this game is full of laughs, competition, and crazy moments. Experience 2: Christmas (included in 3, 4, 5 & 6 night sessions)Celebrate Christmas at camp with our special Christmas Experience, a full day of festive fun as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. The day begins with a Christmas morning atmosphere and continues into the evening with our Christmas Village, featuring themed huts, lights, decorations, hot chocolate, and even snow tubing in the summer. It’s a fun, festive, and memorable day for the whole family as we celebrate Christmas together at camp. Experience 3: City on a Hill / Sermon on the Mount (included in 5 and 6 night sessions)This special experience begins with a Sermon on the Mount gathering in amphitheater-style seating on the side of a hill, where families will hear teaching and Scripture in a setting similar to when Jesus spoke to the crowds. Afterward, participants will hike to the top of our lookout trail and place glowing lights along the side of a cliff. Later that evening, after we return to camp and darkness falls, the lights on the hill will remind us that a city on a hill cannot be hidden and that we are called to be a light in a dark world. Experience 4: Miracle Mayhem Relay Race (included in 6 night session)Miracle Mayhem is a fun and fast-paced relay race where each leg of the race is inspired by a miracle Jesus performed during His time on earth. From feeding the five thousand to turning water into wine, each challenge connects to a different story, making this a fun, energetic, and memorable way to experience these miracles together. Experience 5: Faith Factor (included in 3, 4, 5 & 6 night sessions)Faith Factor is a fun and challenging experience inspired by Fear Factor, where families move through a series of stations and complete fear-filled tasks to earn letters. As families progress, they’ll collect letters that come together to form a meaningful Bible verse—working not just individually, but alongside other families to complete the challenge. This experience is designed to be both fun and impactful, pointing to the story of Jesus’ death on the cross and reminding us that we are not called to live in fear, but to step forward in faith and hope in what is to come. Experience 6: Resurrection (included in 3, 4, 5 & 6 night sessions)After Adults Night Out and Kids Night, everyone comes back together for our Resurrection Celebration—a fun and joyful dance party for the whole camp. We’ll enjoy music, food, and drinks as we celebrate the hope and joy of knowing that Jesus is alive. |
