How it Works and What to Expect.
Sitting at 7,500 ft in the southernmost part of the Rocky Mountains, Glorieta Adventure Camps will play host to this year’s Guts & Glory Adventure Race. Racers will be treated to thousands of acres of aspen stands and thick pine forests that traverse between the high peaks, rugged granite canyons and hidden, high-mountain meadows. The Camp has over 20+ miles of mountain biking trails, tons of elevation, a waterfront that will make you miss being a kid and awesome special test activities. The race will happen rain, sleet, or shine, so be prepared for any type of weather. Choose the sprint race or the 16 hour ‘Extreme’ option. To visit the race’s official website, click here!

Courses
- Sprint Race Teams of 2/3 will run, bike and face team challenges and decisions along the way. This course is designed for the beginner in mind! Racers will need to have a bike, helmet, and a camelback. Be prepared for 8-12 miles of biking, 4-6 miles of trail running plus some surprises. Estimated winning time is 3 hours. This is not an off road Tri!! This is a real adventure race.
- 16 hr ‘Extreme’ Adventure Race
Teams of 2 or 3 will receive trail maps and most checkpoints at the start of the race. This year’s course will include mountain biking on jeep trails and single track, Orienteering & special challenges. Be prepared for 30-40 miles of biking, and 15-25 miles of trekking. The estimated winning time is 14 hours.
