The holiday season is the perfect time to express gratitude, and if you need inspiration, the internet is full of great ideas on how to make your thank-you efforts meaningful and true.

A quick spin around Pinterest will prove that handwritten notes, thoughtful gifts, and community service are all fantastic ways to say thanks to the people you share life with.

But what if quality time is what you’re looking for? What if you want to show your gratitude in a way that leaves everyone feeling appreciated, outside of their everyday norm?

If you’re the leader of a family, business, or ministry, one way to accomplish this is to take your group on a holiday retreat.

At Glorieta, our mission is to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth.

Each year, from November through February, we take a break from our regular programmed retreats to offer DIY group retreats. These getaways offer:

  • A variety of lodging options
  • Hiking access to the Santa Fe National Forest
  • A great base for day trips to Ski Santa Fe and Sipapu Ski Resort
  • Self-serve activities such as mini-golf, basketball, tennis, volleyball, disc golf, and mountain biking

Meals and programming are not included – we simply offer a beautiful place where you can gather, enjoy some peace and quiet, and explore the outdoors… together!

Give thanks for family with a family retreat

Bring your family out to Glorieta to unplug and reconnect! Reserve one of our lodges and get ready to have fun the old-fashioned way with board games, stories, and hikes through the forest.

Give thanks for employees with a corporate retreat

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the year’s end than to treat your employees to an evening at Glorieta. Plan a Christmas party or a catered dinner and enjoy the view outside of the office walls.

Give thanks for ministry staff with a minister’s retreat

Show your appreciation for the staff that makes your ministry run, with a fun and restful trip to the foothills of the Southern Rockies. Use it as a time to reflect on 2019 and begin praying about the impact your ministry will have in the new year!

A retreat during the holiday season might seem like a crazy idea when you look at the limited weekends left on your calendar. But in the midst of the hustle and bustle, a holiday retreat may be exactly what your group needs to feel appreciated, known, and loved!
